How to Measure for Your Uniform
Note: For the most accurate measurements, use a soft measuring tape and ensure you are standing straight.
Shirt Measurements:
- Neck: Measure around your neck, just below your Adam's apple.
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level.
- Sleeve Length: Measure from your shoulder seam, down your arm to your wrist. Bend your elbow slightly to get the most accurate measurement.
- Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, which is typically about an inch above your belly button.
- Shoulder Width: Measure from one shoulder to the other across the back.
Pants Measurements:
- Waist: Measure around your natural waistline.
- Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam to your ankle.
- Rise: Measure from the crotch seam to the top of your waistband.
- Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Shoe Measurements:
Trace the complete outline of your foot onto a sheet of paper. Measure the length and width of your foot on the tracing as shown in the picture below. Use this measurement to identify your size on the provided chart. A wide shoe is about 1/4 inch wider than a medium-width.
Tips:
- If you're between sizes, it is usually best to size up for a more comfortable fit.
- Refer to the specific brand's size chart for their recommended measurements.
- If you are unsure, consider consulting a tailor or a professional fitter for assistance.
By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your shirts and pants fit you perfectly.
